You and Light

You wake to morning light every day.
You awaken light, and in your bed lay.

You soon become dawn’s awakening ray.
Your en-lightened voice lightens your say.

You’ve become light; nothing left to weigh.
You’re weightless yet carry such sway.

You’re now star-ing in a broad-way play.
You’re the leading lady; that’s what you portray.

You’re not afraid to laugh; keep it light buffet.
Your bright light lightens my being away.

You’re now a light in my life, a beautiful bouquet.
You’ve turned on your beacon, lighting my way.

You lighten a-wake of a passing day.
You’ve helped me see the light of day.

You’re now de-light-ed in being; here to stay.
You are/will be traveling forever light, yeah!
